This is a very different type of escape room. They actually lay out for you what puzzles you have to do on a map. The OCD planner in me really liked this, but the escape room enthusiast in me did not. I think the fun of escape rooms is that aha moment when you figure out what you need to do next, and this ruined that for me. On the plus side, it allowed them to cram in as many puzzles as possible so no time is wasted just looking around confused. I imagine some will love this about the Laboratory, and some will not.

This one you do play with people you don't know if you don't have enough to fill the room. The cool thing about this one is that it allows for so many people, I think we had like 12 in ours (website only says 10 though). Everyone was doing their own things but everything comes together at the end and there are puzzles for all levels. The key is to work together even if you have your own set of puzzles. Fun for all levels of enthusiast.

I went here for my birthday party because it allowed so many players. I loved their brilliant method of adjusting the number of puzzles for group size, and I was really impressed by the number of puzzles that were brand new to us. Production design was basically non-existent, which was a bummer. But overall a very solid experience.
