I wouldn’t classify this room as scary, but it does have a creepy feel to it and it’s dark the whole time, as the name would suggest. I played this with my partner and 4 strangers, which I think was too many people. The problem was that the room was pitch black and they only gave us one flashlight, so there was no way for more than one or two people to really be doing anything at a time. Other people couldn’t even really be helping by looking elsewhere in the room because it was so dark. Instead of making the puzzles challenging to solve, they just made it inconvenient. If the lights had been on, I’m guessing we would have gotten out in less than half the time. To me, that’s just a cheap and easy way to make something seem difficult without having to try very hard. This room isn’t quite at the bottom of my list, but it’s certainly not anywhere near the top. I played this room while on vacation in Denver, so I don’t know what else is in the area, but I’m sure you could find a better room to play.

I had a hard time enjopying this room. The premise is sound and I like the idea, but the execution of it felt a little lazy. The lights are off and your team has one flashlight - it's too dark to see anything without the flashlight so unless you're the one with it, you basically just stand around in the dark until the eprson with the light finds something, or decides to hand off the flashlight. Since they don't offer private bookings at a reasonable price, this can be really frustrating if you do the room with strangers.
