I really hate haunted houses and anything horror related, and somehow missed that this was going to be a horror themed room when my partner talked me into doing it. If you like scary rooms, you probably shouldn’t even read this review because I was just too distracted by being a big-ol-baby to enjoy it. This was a pretty big escape room with many rooms, which made it pretty difficult for just the two of us. We almost always play with just us two, but this was a pretty difficult one and one of only three rooms we’ve done that we didn’t successfully escape from. I’m not sure if the room was actually difficult, or if we just didn’t escape because I was too much of a wimp to be useful (“I’m not touching that thing, it might jump at me, you touch it!”). The set design was good, though not my style for aforementioned reasons. That said, the puzzles were smartly done and I think anyone who likes horror would enjoy this room.

I played this room with five strangers. Four of them were very new to escape rooms. This game is probably most easily played with 3-4 people. I'd actually say that two experienced players should be fine. The effectiveness of this room varies from section to section. There are several different rooms within the labyrinth. Some are great and flow very well. Some have clues that are either too subtle or too overt. I did like the fact that several rooms had clues that you'd try and use immediately to no avail, only to realize that you'd have to use it one or two rooms later. Oftentimes, escape rooms rely on immediate gratification of a puzzle and don't require you to recall things that you've previously seen or left behind. All in all, the mechanics and effects of this room were good. The story was marginal. The puzzles varied, but most were slightly above average. I'd recommend it to people that are in the area.
